- This normal Magnetic Resonance Cholangiopancreatography (MRCP) image demonstrates fluid in the biliary tree
- The common bile duct (CBD), intra-hepatic bile ducts (ducts within the liver), and the pancreatic ducts are all normal in calibre

- A filling defect in the lower CBD is caused by a gallstone
- Dilatation of the CBD and intra-hepatic ducts above the stone indicates biliary obstruction
- No stones are visible within the distended gallbladder
