Upper image - CT thorax (lung windows) at level of aortic arch

  • The large cavity appears similar on CT as on the X-ray image
  • The cavity appears to deviate the contour of the major/oblique fissure of the right lung (red line - also shown on left)

Lower image - CT abdomen at level of liver (purple line)

  • Multiple areas of low density seen scattered throughout the liver have the typical appearance of metastatic deposits
  • These metastases could be biopsied under imaging guidance
